Indian Students of PSMU Joins Sobraniye 2022: Pre-Departure Ceremony

Several hundreds of students from India have joined Perm State Medical University for the academic session 2022-23. As they prepared and packed their bags to join the PSMU, they joined the pre-departure ceremony, Sobraniye 2022, which was organised by Rus Education along with Russian House in New Delhi on 27th September 2022, Tuesday at Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi.

The evening witnessed the chief guest Lt Gen Daljit Singh, VSM, Director General Medical Services (Indian Army) & Sr Col Comdt. The event was also graced by the warm presence of Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi; Shri Nirmal Kumar Bhagat, Director, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; Dr Vinitaa Jha Executive Vice President, Medical Education & Research, Dr. Vanita Mittal, General Manager, Academics from a reputed Indian Hospital; Nikita Zhvachkin, Head of the Corporate and Financial Institutions Department, Sberbank India, Ms Elena Barman, Head of Education, Air Marshal Dr Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Vice Chairman and Mr Syed I. Rigan, Managing Director from Rus Education.

During the event, several students were also awarded various scholarships such as  'Druzhba Scholarship' in honour of Alexander Kadakin, ex-Ambassador of Russia in India and the 'Badhte Kadam Scholarship' in honour of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India & Vir Jawaan Scholarship for their remarkable performances in academics. 

The guests also addressed the students and parents with their wise words. In his keynote address, Lt Gen Daljit Singh applauded the determination of the students and the sacrifice of their parents for the dreams of their children. Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi, also assured the complete support from the Russian House in New Delhi for all these students. 

Post the dinner after the ceremony, the students and parents departed to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and boarded their flights to study MBBS in the top medical university of Russia, Perm State Medical University.
